Poetry Submissions for Poetry Gallery

Languageandculture.net welcomes original poetry and their English translation in the following languages: Spanish, French, German, Italian and Slavic languages. Other languages are under review. We accept translations of known writers; please include the original language, as it will be published.  All translation rights, where applicable, should be acquired prior to submitting. Languageandculture.net also accepts original poetry in English.  Poems are published bi-annually.

Please include a short bio along with your submissions. We accept between 3 - 5 poems at a 70-line maximum and will accept simultaneous submissions and previously published poems (please denote the end of each line with a solidus "/"). However, please notify us when they are accepted elsewhere. We respond in 9-12 weeks.  Send to review@languageandculture.net.

Prose Submissions for Prose Backdrop

I’m pleased to add a Prose section.  Our Prose Editor is Doug Kurtz, novelist and owner of Write Life Coaching.  Doug works with motivated writers in any genre, who are stuck somewhere on the path from inception to publication as a result of writer’s block, limiting thinking or other challenges their personal or professional lives, and are ready to move dynamically forward.

For more information, or to contact Doug for a free sample session, visit www.writelifecoaching.com or email doug@writelifecoaching.com.

1 - 2 submissions, categories:  Flash Fiction, Memoir, Short Story, Creative Non-fiction & Novel Excerpts.  Prose Poetry should be submitted as a Poetry submission. Maximum: 2,500 words.  Have your submission at line spacing of 1.5. Numbering of pages isn't necessary.  As above, please include a short bio. I'd like to have a further background of the piece if it's a memoir.  Again, we accept simultaneous submissions and previously published pieces.  Send to review@languageandculture.net.

Languageandculture.net doesn't pay for publication. We retain one-time electronic rights; then they revert to you. Any questions on guidelines or content, please inquire at: review@languageandculture.net.
